One-day-trip program

Freediving day is held all year round, almost in all weathers. The aim is to get to the place!

The breath-holding dive takes place in the picturesque bay of Teriberka village (~140 km from Murmansk).

We meet the participants of the dive on the spot, at the Fish Factory hotel, located on the Barents Sea coast. The meeting time is agreed in advance.

On arrival, we are placed in a hotel room for comfortable preparation for diving, briefing, and changing clothes after a dive.
Briefing
Before the dive, a professional freediving instructor will give you a briefing. During the briefing, you will learn about the physiological features of our body that help us safely make dives, as well as its benefits for humans.

During the preparation process, we'll put a breathing practice in order to achieve maximum mental relaxation during the dive and get maximum pleasure from the process.

Relaxation is the key to a successful dive and the foundation of freediving.

We'll match equipment for you and change you into warm wetsuits. It is very important - wetsuit must fits you perfectly! Our team carefully monitors this, so it's important to tell us the correct measurements of all who's diving (be honest about this ;))

7-mm wetsuits provide a comfortable stay in the water for up to 1.5-2 hours all year round.
Freedive into the Arctic Ocean
You'll be able to consolidate the knowledge gained during the briefing in practice, learn how to dive while holding your breath and try spearfishing. Our instructors will guide you along the rocky reef and introduce you to the diversity of the underwater world.

The Barents Sea is rich in a variety of flora and fauna. Here you can see thickets of sea cabbage, ficus, scallop colonies and sea urchins, king crab in their natural environment. It's possible to see here some large fishes, such as cod, flounder, haddock and halibut. At a lucky time you can see whales, killer whales, and dolphins in the distance. In the respective season, you can meet seals.

You will be able to work on the technique of proper diving (Duck-dive), enjoy the beauty of the underwater world and feel like a getter. Experienced freedivers will also conduct a master class on diving to a depth on holding your breath and catching scallops and sea urchins.

After leaving the water, we change into dry clothes.
Lunch
Impressions from freediving would be incomplete without tasting freshly caught seafood.

Seafood is rich in micronutrient, which makes them not only exceedingly healthy, but also it's delicious. Sea urchin caviar is an aphrodisiac and elixir of youth, a powerful natural remedy for the prevention and treatment of oncology.

ArcticFree team members will demonstrate the skill of preparing scallops for eating, and reveal the secret of the sea urchin – show how to identify the most delicious representative and where he hides its caviar.
